All but one of the 15 post offices in Northeast Pennsylvania that were identified for possible closing last summer would stay open with reduced retail window operating hours under a new U.S. Postal Service plan.

Postal Service could shutter some offices
The Postal Service is considering closing more than 1 in 10 of its retail outlets, including post offices in Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wayne, Susquehanna, Pike and Monroe Counties.
