After voicing their concerns about police brutality to the City Council at just about every City Council meeting ion the last three months, friends and family members of Michael Nida took to the streets Saturday staging a protest march.

DOWNEY aS' After months of protesting the shooting death of South Gate resident Michael Nida, friends and family of the 31-year-old father of four are taking their message to the streets this weekend, marching from Paramount Boulevard and Imperial Highway to City Hall where the group will call for the end of racial profiling and police brutality.

Steven Zamora, 18, of South Gate and Steven Gil, 26, of Compton were arrested and booked on suspicion of homicide for the shooting death of Gerardo Fernandez, 20, killed in the 12500 block of Old River School Road.
