A 51-year-old Jamestown man who allegedly fled the scenes of two separate crashes Saturday afternoon was charged with driving while intoxicated and other counts.

Officials broke ground this week on the 2,300-square-foot building located at 517 Pine St.

On Sunday evening, the Westfield Fire Department and the Chautauqua County Hazmat team were called to CSX tracks near English and Pearl streets in Westfield because a train engine was leaking what was believed to be a coolant.

Allen Eugene Jones, 30, a grounds keeper for Tri County Golf Club, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, after a motorcycle accident in the town of Poland, N.Y. He was a member of the Conewango Fire Dept., where he also served as an EMT.

TOWN OF POLAND, N.Y. On Saturday May 5th at approximately 5:00 PM, the New York State Police at Jamestown investigated a fatal motorcycle accident which occurred on State Route 62 in the Town of Poland, Chautauqua County.

According to a report from Jamestown-based state police, Allen E. Jones, 30, of 63 Main St., South Dayton, was traveling south on Route 62 on a 1982 Yamaha motorcycle and failed to negotiate a right-hand curve at the intersection of Miller Valley Road and Route 62.
