What you have to understand is, it's not the person who's so special. It's the naivety you have at the time, and the 'special-ness' of feeling love for the first time. Looking back now, my first love was a complete and utter fcuking bitch, but the naive kid in the back of my cynical old brain would still take over and welcome her back if she ever came into my life again.
