Two Bucks state parks on chopping block

The budget cut ax is in full swing in Harrisburg, leaving area parks on edge. As the proposed $29 billion state budget stands, Ralph Stover Park in Tinicum and the Upper Black Eddy stretch of the 60-mile-long Delaware Canal State Park and Evansburg State Park near Skippack, Montgomery County, are among 35 state-funded parks on the chopping block.

Biker killed before birthday

Brandon Gilbert would have turned 22 years old today. He never got the chance. The Souderton man was killed Monday night in a motorcycle accident in Upper Salford, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.
