The big Memorial weekend has come to an end and while it wasn't a total bust for weather, it could have been better.

Filing for positions on the 2012 election ballots opened Monday, and many candidates showed interest in local offices.

Last weekend promised to bring some sunshine to our area but after a brief amount on Saturday morning, the clouds took over and it was rather gloomy all day.

MONTH'S END--This month is about to end; how is that possible? It seems it just started! I can't tell you how alarmed I am by the seemingly furious pace as to which the days are flying by.
