Sikeston residents to see trash bills increase

Trash bills for Sikeston residents will go up by about $50 per year in 2010. City council members awarded the contract for solid waste collection and disposal services to the sole bidder, Sonny's Solid Waste, during the regular Sikeston City Council meeting Monday.

I think its crap. You get charged whether you have trash to put out or not.

I feel sorry for the people that only have 1 or 2 bags a month! This is outrageous! Then you have people like me that live where the trash is picked up on Monday. Then on the Monday holidays it doesn't get picked up and we have to wait until the NEXT trash day!
People kill me

Everything is increases except incomes........

As for the holiday thing, that happens to everyone if their "day" is on a holiday.
