If anyone has the chance to watch the news video from the station KATU, it's worth watching. The male owner of the dog is defending their actions and a friend even says that "it was hot out what were they supposed to do?". Just proves that morons shouldn't be dog owners. The backyard was disgusting. A bunch of slobs. A neighbor was giving the dog water and it was panting hard. If the dog was such a part of the family then they would have checked on him enough to catch this problem. I just have such a hard time accepting selfish, lazy human beings. They were more upset about the fine they got than the fact that their "beloved" family member is dead. I know it's just a dog, as people say, but torture is torture. A bigger fine should be given here, we are supposed to be a civilized society.
