Homicide ruled in death of man found in fire

SHERIDAN, Ark. - Grant County Sheriff Ray Vance says the death of a man whose body was found in a burning home has been ruled a homicide.

Police: Grant Co fire may have been homicide

The body of 46-year-old Danny Joe Shivers was found by firefighters inside of his burning residence about 10 miles south of Sheridan on February 3 GRANT COUNTY, AR - Police are now investigating a Grant County fire as a possible homicide.

Firefighters with the Sheridan Fire Department and a volunteer fire department are on the scene of a fatal house fire in Grant County.

Plane crash injures 2 in Sheridan

A small plane crashed just before noon at the Sheridan Municipal Airport. The FAA says the plane crashed while landing and the two people on board suffered "serious injuries." One was transported by life flight to the hospital and the other by ground ambulance.
