Yep,I 'm a republican and I think we do need an honest mayor!! Mr.Ellis says we need one too,but I can't tell if he is or not?? I never other then is ballot thing have heard any ideas from him, If things are not right I can't tell cause what I read and hear is he just a follower,If he's saying honesty is needed why does he vote for every idea that hatfield or tinnell come up with?? Don't he feel like he has any?? same ole good ole boy system show me something different than yes sir and get a stand or take one or we'll be stuck with these two same ole good ole boys spending our tax money on their buddies or families!!! did you know that you allowed his family and supporters to get jobs and even hatfields son was approved by you all to work for the city what about my son he has a college education but he can't work for the city ?? same ole good ole boy bull!!! simple as that!!

I don't care what party you are as long as you are honest. Any politician who makes promises of jobs before they make it in isn't honest. It has been heard that Mr Ellis has promised Brian Whitaker the position of Chief of Police. It seems that Mr Ellis needs more education on how the city works before he becomes a mayor. Experince is a plus. Sailorman you are right, Ellis is a follower. I also believe if you are on the council or the Mayor they shouldn't hire your relatives. If they are working there before you are elected that's ok.

Let see I know Mr. Ellis he is very honest and sincer. To touch on a few ideas he has had. 1 He voted to keep Salt River Plant drive closed because he felt it would put our future (the children on that road) in danger. 2 He proposed that the city take a different approach to the yard sale ordinance by adding it to the nuasance ordinance his quote was if I recall correct" This is still America and we have no business telling hard waorking people what they can and cannot do on thier own property". As far as promising jobs the only one that I know is in the works in the Mr. Whittaker one and that has been in the works since 2006 election . Ask other folks in the city who have asked hin for a job, and they will tell you his response is put in for it when one is posted and see what happens. Trust meI asked him for a job and he said put in for it and see what happens then but he will not promise a job to someone.

Ellis a follower? You must be out of your mind! The Mayor does the hiring
and hired hatfields son not the council.
Maybe you truth and justice should do your homework
on being a mayor

Well at least Ellis at 34 is not just using this office for his own reason, he really cares about us and not just a retirement like the worthless one (Mayor Tinnell). mayor hang it up and retire on your own!!!

DUh.....I know the Mayor does the hiring and not the council....I was talking about when Ellis campaigns for mayor he promises jobs to get votes. The only thing he does now is just make a stand on something he thinks will get him votes, everything else he just sits there. By the way I am not a Tinnell fan either. He's too busy letting his code enforcement officer run the city and be his glorified taxi driver.

Mr. Truth and Justice, you are way off base. However; I must admit, you give me a laugh, even if your information is not correct. It is easy to see who you really are. What are you running for again? Perhaps if you spent more time really caring about the city, instead of finding fault you would have a better out look. The city belongs to the citizens of this community, not just a certain group of people. Everyone should be proud to live in the city, I know I am. It would be wonderful to put positive information on this site. God Bless........

You have no clue who I am. I love living here and care very much about what goes on here. I am involved and I research facts. I am not looking for fault here. People need information in order to make an informed decision. I am not for Ellis or Tinnell nor the previous Mayor Sohm. Most likely we will have to just make a choice between Ellis and Tinnell.

Thank you for your positive comments. I too love living here. From your posts it is obvious that you are an educated individual who certainly has a lot to offer to the community. The part I disagreed with is about the Code Enforcement Officer. I know him, and I can assure you that in no way is he running the city, nor; would he like too. I can say, I have never heard him say anything negative about anyone. I called and told him of the posts and he just laughed and said "God Bless". I do not have any clue as to who you may be, however; I am proud that you are pro Shepherdsville, that is exactly what we need.

Thanks "Just Possible". I just want to see what is best for the city. I do know the code enforcement officer and he is a nice guy but it is my opinion from things I have seen through my own eyes that the Mayor makes a lot of decisions based on what the code enforcement officer says. I think that hurts the Mayor. I do know how much the Mayor loves this city and wants to make it a better place.

Daily Horoscope for November 25

Libra

The Moon blends well with Mercury, letting your intuition lead you to success. Go with a hunch today and see where it leads you; this is one of those times when your analytical mind will only get in the way. It may be a little harder to express yourself, but there's something to be said about using fewer words to convey your meaning.
