A Champlain Valley man is facing charges of setting fire to his own home. Firefighters said the house in Sheldon, Vt., was engulfed in flames when they got there.

A Sheldon man was killed Friday when his car went off the road and into a ditch on Vermont 104 in Fairfax, Vermont State Police said.
