A Shelbyville glass factory where a worker was killed and another was seriously injured had serious safety violations prior to the incidents, records show.

Ruthanne Gordon, of WISH TV8 reports, deputies say the accident happened shortly after 3 pm at the intersection of County Road 350 South and State Road 9. Both the motorcyclist and his passenger were thrown off the bike and were taken by air ambulance to IU Methodist Hospital where they are listed in serious condition.

Two people suffered serious injuries in a Saturday afternoon crash when a motorcycle struck a car near the intersection of State Road 9 and County Road 350 South in Shelbyville, authorities said.
