Looks like this was the wrong week to put off buying new tires.The first major snowstorm of the season hit Lorain County late Thursday when rain switched to snow and coated the streets.It made travel treacherous by the time commuters hit the roads.The National Weather Service estimated about 2.6 inches of snow fell in Elyria.
