Planners OK cash for Trout Island Trail

Shenango Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization has granted the Mercer County Trails Association $229,000 to help build the Trout Island Trail. Penndot will start accepting bids on a trail that will run from Sharpsville to Orangeville and provide a nature experience for everyone.

I wonder if this means that Trout Island Road or any of the surrounding roads may actually be resurfaced and widened to accomodate the increased load. This road is very narrow and dangerous, especially if there is going to be a parking area established that people have to pull in and out of. It will be interesting as this story develops and plans are released.
