Cracker' Creates a Buzz; One Bank Opens, Another to Close
It has never been a secret that Ohio has been competing with two other states on the location of a "cracker" plant, but local and state officials are being tight-lipped on whether the East Ohio area or any other site in the state has figured into any discussions that have taken place since the oil/gas boom started last year.
Ideas Sought to Mark Village's Centennial
Pat Heller, president of the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce, said there are a few committees people can join, such as those related to re-enactments, history, entertainment, parade, fireworks, car show and interviews of long-time residents.
DORRIS, Virginia P., 94, of Shadyside, Ohio formerly of Moundsville, W. Va. died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio.
She was born April 19, 1930 in Powhatan Point, Ohio, a daughter of the late Henry and Inez Hill Wright.
