Claudia Sternbach: Instead of tossing your vote, why not toss a bouquet?

You're kidding me, right? I mean, do you really think that those women who have supported Hillary Clinton's run for presidency are now going to turn around and vote for John McCain because they are so angry? ...

Thank you Claudia. It is painful to work so hard on a campaign and lose. Many of us have been there, but we moved on. I hope these women will soon get over it and support Obama. Our next president will be appointing some new Supreme Court justices. Do these women want McCain to do that?

I am a senior, married with children and grandchildren, and most of my senior friends support gay marriage. I read that the opposition is generational, among other things. But then we do live in Santa Cruz. You are so right, what a waste of money to fight this. What are they really afraid of? Isn't there room for everyone? Send the money to the public schools, our newest charity. Oh sure, some of the teachers are gay, but then so are some of the students.

Let's put our efforts and money into some of the true threats to a successful democracy: public education, health care, and the war.

Sorry, Claudia, but I'm definitely crossing party lines to vote for Senator McCain, as are three generations of my family and several friends. We do this not because Hillary didn't win the nomination...yet..., but because we are not taken in by Senator Obama and feel the Democratic party has made a terrible mistake. Senator McCain was always our second choice. I am also a senior with grandchildren We will not vote for someone for party reasons.

The Media and everyone else is going to try to get us to vote for OBAMA. I just don't share his views and lack of political experience. You know I know how it feels to try to start off a career and with very little work experience it's hard to get a decent job. Why should Mr. Obama get a free pass? You know if he would have been in politics for couple more years then I would feel better about that. Obama will not get my vote just because of his ability to speak well. There has been great speakers of the past and well one of them started world war 2. So McCain is the only one that I trust and even though I am democratic I am a realist and not a Liberal.

Noone is taking any ball and going home....did it ever occur to you that just because Obama is a democrat that those who supported Hillary do not necessarily have to support him too??? McCain is a moderate Rebublican...Hillary is a moderate Democrat...Obama is a liberal. I would rather stay on the side of the moderates than take a chance with a liberal....that has always been my choice...and I consider myself a very real lady...at least I don't go around calling people names for expressing their opinion.
