School buses

Having two sets of different colored "STOP" lights (Red & Amber)on School Busses is extremely confusing!!!

It's hard enough to teach and remind the public about stopping for the "RED STOP LIGHTS" let alone adding amber to the mix.

Red means "STOP."

Amber mneans "CAUTION." (Which everyone should do around a School Buss anyway).

I have NEVER is my 48 year life ever heard of Amber Lights meaning "STOP" in any industry let alone School Busses.

Construction vehicles, utility vehicles, pilot cars, etc., etc. all have amber lights meaning "CAUTION." This is the STANDARD. Even police, sheriff and CHP cars that have lights, have "RED" for "STOP" and "AMBER" for "CAUTION."

I wouldn't fault anybody for passing a School Bus with flashing amber lights. Amber means "CAUTION"... PERIOD.

"RED" means "STOP." No questions asked... Just "STOP!"

Say what you mean and mean what you say. Don't confuse us and expect us drivers who want to be careful and obey the law and protect children, to "STOP" at an "Amber" light that means "USE CAUTION" in any other industry!

Seriously... Continuity is the "KEY" to helping the public understand and follow the School Bus signals.

RED = STOP.
AMBER = CAUTION.

Flashing lights mean STOP regardless of color.

alexis i told you i would post something about seeing you in the newspaper your the best g-baby ever and people please remember children are getting off buses and not realy paying attention either so remember those red lights and STOP.....
