Emergency teams assessing tornado damage in DeKalb, Jackson & Marshall counties
Officials from the Red Cross and the Emergency Management Agency are surveying the damage from a tornado that cut a path of destruction Friday afternoon through north Marshall County, the southern tip of Jackson County and across DeKalb County's Sand Mountain communities of Section, Macedonia and Sylvania.
