Customers complain about West Palm Beach auto shipper
Michael Bollella paid Auto Transport American $750 last month to get his car from his winter home in Delray Beach to his summer home in New York.
He never expected he would end up paying another $450 to the trucker who transported his car north.
'I've been doing this for years, but it's the first time I had a problem,' said Bollella, who got a call from the trucker holding his Lexus in New Jersey threatening to take it back to Florida. 'He was holding my car hostage.'
The Florida Attorney General's office has received 48 complaints about Auto Transport American, a West Palm Beach company.
