Fla. Man Awarded $100K For Injuries From SD Rodeo

A jury has awarded a Florida man injured by a bull at a 2004 Scenic rodeo $100,000. The 7th Circuit Court jury found that Longhorn Enterprises, Crazy Horse Tokala Society and Crazy Horse Tokala agent Richard Swain were negligent for injuries Fred Breeding suffered after the bull struck him in the chest.

Iglesia Ni Cristo buys town in South Dakota

The Iglesia Ni Cristo church now owns the town of Scenic, South Dakota, after purchasing the 46-acre property for over $700,000. According to reports from CNBC, 74-year old Twyla Merrill, a rancher, put the property up for sale two years ago for $3 million, after her health deteriorated due to cancer.

Church Buys Entire South Dakota Town For Unexplained Reasons

The town of Scenic, South Dakota isn't used to a lot of excitement anymore. In the early 1900s, it bustled with more than one hundred and fifty residents and scores of visitors who stopped in on their way to Rapid City, but at some point along the line, everyone picked up and moved, completely abandoning the once proud buildings.
