As director of psychology at KidsPeace Children's Hospital, Peter Langman assesses and counsels troubled children and teens. He also trains staffers and is finishing a book on school shooters. Talking to reporters, he said, is ''this little thing I do on the side.''
That little thing, however, last year landed him on TV, radio and in print on subjects such as teen suicides, shootings and bullying at least 35 times. And speaking with everyone from the BBC and CBS-TV to The Morning Call garnered him the Pennsylvania Psychological Association's ''Psychology in the Media Award'' for 2008.
