What was the child doing playing with sparklers on the back porch without supervision?
A 12-year-old threw a hot sparkler on a couch the report says. That's the poor judgement of a child who needed to be supervised. The insurer, if Ms. Perez has fire insurance, may balk due to the negligence.

Plus why the hell do kids have sparklers this time of year anyways? Retards.

What are "shudders?" Try the word "shutters."
The fire "melted the shudders" on a home to the north"? Is that like "shiver me timbers"? Who wrote this article? And was there an editor?

Go Wacky, these people have nothing better to do than to sit around pointing fingers and complaining.

A perfect example of why such "harmless fire works" should not be sold! Some people don't get it, they're called FIRE works!

Like any of these posters never fired up a sparkler at that age without their parentts around.

Didn't you know everyone is a perfect angel on here? |
Children cannot be supervised 100% of the time and kids do things at times because they are kids. I highly doubt you are a perfect child. Anyone with children know that you simply cannot watch them 100% of the time, and to say you can is simply impossible. It is easy to armchair quarterback this and say the child should have had supervision, but I doubt you would be watching your 12 year old 100% of the time, especially when they are on your own back porch. So get off your soap box and just admit it was caused by the poor judgement of a child being a child |

If this fire had occurred in a home in a more affluent section of town, if the child playing with sparklers had been the child of two WASP parents, and if the sparklers had ignited a cushion on wicker porch furniture, would this family's heritage, economic status, etc. even be mentioned here? Get a life people! This is unfortunate (thankfully, not more tragic) and a fire that could have been prevented by closer parental supervision ... but things like this happen in all types, classes, etc. of families. For god's sake, are you people NEVER going to get over the fact that Chambersburg and Franklin County is not going to forever remain WASP only?

So what was the address of the house that burned. It says the 6oo block, it says the house next door was 682, but exactly where was the fire. Sloppy reporting! Shudders burned? What about the chimley?

Seriously this 12 year old kid should have known better. It is nobody's fault but that child's fault. At that age kids shouldn't need constant supervision, I don't know why you all are jumping on the fact that he wasn't supervised. That kid needs a butt whooping first for starting the fire then after that pain goes away he needs another for being so dumb in judgment. I apologize if I offend anyone, but it is time we stop babying our children and teach them to be responsible and self disciplined at an early age. All kids want to get into crap they are not supposed to, this is what happened here. It wasn't because they were illegally here or because they were in the ghetto, it was a kid doing something stupid.
lol at least the couch was on the back porch and not the front, I hate seeing that. |
So you are the one bring up race. Is it a crime to be a WASP. I am a WASP and I resent your implications. "You people " want respect, but don't give it. Shame on you! |

Geesh...the first day of summer vacation and the kid already burned down the house. I guess I'm not the only parent counting down to the first day of school!!!
Who's the retard, what is next month uh JULY stores are alreay selling stuff for the holiday that is called Independence day that falls on JULY 4th. Now do you understand why the kid had sparklers already..... |
He is not the one bringing up race, some posts have been removed so you did not see get to the ones that were about race or about the section of town where these people live. |
I do have to ask: What is WASP? The last I knew, it was an 80s hard rock band that still tries to tour. When did it become a racist term and what does it mean? |
Ok some of the posts were removed and now my last post doesn't make as much sense. lol.
