A 17-year-old from Holland was injured early today when his car went off I-96 near Saranac, crashing into trees, in what police believe was an alcohol-related accident.

Speaking after the Saranac Community Schools board meeting Thursday night, Superintendent Maury Geiger said parents have expressed little outrage over a case involving a former teacher who admitted to having sex with a student since the district sent out a letter clarifying the situation.
