Santa Monica Shooting Leaves One Dead

Full story: KNX-AM Los Angeles

A guy was shot and killed last night near a popular park in Santa Monica. Cops heard the shots last night near Virginia Avenue Park, known for it's interactive water area for kids and free wi-fi access.

A "guy"?! His name was Richard Juarez and it is apparently a gang related shooting. This is not the first for that park or that neighborhood, were homes can go for between $500,000. to over a million dollars.

Maybe you could buy a very small condo in an old dilapidated building by the freeway for $500,000... just maybe.

first of all learn how to spell WHERE! second it was him being at the wrong place at the wrong time.. this man was my best friend. you people need to have more effing respect!!!!!!

Everyone needs to have respect for the Juarez family and keep your opinions to yourself. They are hurting and think how you would feel if it was one of your family members and everyone is saying negative things. May Richard rest in peace and those involved rot in hell forever.
