Does anyone know how this happened? I drove by the scene as the police were investigating and it was chilling. There is so little detail. What happened and why? How did the driver overlook this man? What was the estimated speed?

I see people speed through that parking lot all the time. Not saying that's what happened, but the incident gives rise to a multitude of questions and CC Times is notorious for lack of follow up reporting when investigations are pending.

He was not speeding. He didn't see the man. It was just an unfortunate accident.

Wow, that's too bad. I feel for the driver and the victim's family. Thanks for your response. I just had to wonder due to the cell phone talking speeders frequently zipping through that parking lot, trying to make it to the freeway before the light changes.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Leo

There's an erratic quality to the day, thanks to the Full Moon in emotional Cancer, combined with a lunar eclipse. Loved ones are likely to behave in ways you hadn't counted on. The only way to cope with this is to be as flexible as possible. Someone might change an arrangement at the eleventh hour so you have to think on your feet, or others may be determined to do their own thing even though it doesn't suit you. Get any arguments out of the way quickly so you can enjoy your New Year's Eve celebrations with a glad heart.
