Chris Lyons said he and several partners plan an eatery in Las Cruces and he hopes to open the doors before the start of the school year.

Jason Elmore and Hoodoo Witch will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday at Sparky s Burgers, BBQ and Espresso, 115 Franklin St., in Hatch.

The Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Gallery, located in historic old Mesilla at 2470-A Calle de Guadalupe, will feature two local artists for the month of May.

The last Preschool Story Time of the school year will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens State Park Visitor Center.
