sure. new hospital, new community center, new waterfront. all paid for by the actual taxpayers, and all ONLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE NON TAX PAYING ILLEGALS.

i know al "idiot" boro, you'd like to think this "the taxpayer is our last priority" mentality will last forever here in san rafael, but you are sadly mistaken. everyone is so excited for you to be removed from office.

you folks are high as a kite if you are thinking that, even though we don't approve $$ for firehouses, somehow we'll build a new canal waterfront. we've done more than enough for the effing crime filled canal. it will be a cold day in hell before this ever happens, i promise you that.

Wrong time & definitely the wrong place. This is such an epically bad idea that's it's not even worth getting upset over. It'll dissipate into the atmosphere like the dog fart that it is.

1. These people need to hire an attorney and file a class action lawsuit.

2. Another avenue might be to put their property taxes in an escrow account and refuse to pay them to the County. "No taxation without representation" i.e. they are paying taxes and are not being represented.

3. A third avenue would be to force the "developers" of this plan to put a large sum of money into an escrow account that the neighbors could attach post judgment should they be affected by crime or vandalism brought by the new arrivals.

time to stop working on "visioning" and get back to fixing pot holes and paving streets (5th Avenue from E Street to H street and all of H street north of 5th to start) and dealing with crime

forget the grand plan
if you want to move people dreg the canal and get a flat bottom ferry similar to the Balboa Ferry in Newport Beach but with no cars on it to run pedestrians and bikes from the back of Montecito to the Canal
Charge 25 to 50 cents to ride
You need one boat two docks thats it
run it primarily so SRHS students dont have to walk down Francisco Blvd
and stop running it early evening

Elected officials who listen to residents??
I don't thinks so. Remember they know better, and if you disagree you're a racist.

It would be nice if the IJ would include a map of where the walk would be.

What is masquerading as "vision" is clearly a white elephant. How can anyone even contemplate such a thing in the current economic environment? How about "visioning" fiscal responsibility and improving city services during touch times -- too boring?-- doesn't look good on the resume? Someone appears to have too much unsupervised time on their hands in SR gov't.

Will there be a floating 7-11 for the illegal day worker hiring hall? What about a floating "roach coach" taqueria? Don't forget the floating welfare center, with free transportation to and from!

Don't forget that floating raft for all you racists... I'm sure there will be plenty of towels to dry your weeping eyes with.

Sounds like a great place to throw litter in the canal. Are they budgeting for extra police patrols? Who will maintain the area? Which revenue stream will be tapped for security and maintenance?

Must be looking for new photos for the Chamber of Commerce.

Sounds to me like the property owners don't want the public to walk on what's theirs. The public has rights to a 25' strip. Let's use it!

You mean the Illegal Aliens have all the rights. Screw American citizens. You libs have it all backwards. But that is par for the course.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Libra

Don't put yourself through anything that isn't absolutely necessary, Libra. After all, why cook when others will gladly serve you at their house, or treat you to a wonderful meal at your favourite restaurant? Even when you assert yourself, there seems to be a wonderfully passive quality to your manner. Now that the universe has finally decided to give you some of what you want, make sure your wish list is short and don't be greedy.
