Routine traffic ticket leads to cocaine bust in San Rafael

hurray. yet another reason i just loooove having illegals here! more drugs, crime, higher taxes, a worse education for our kids while they wait for the teachers to teach other kids english-- it's really just a win-win situation here in san rafael, isn't it!?

While that suspicion certainly crossed my mind too, why just assume it because the guy has a Spanish name and got busted in the canal? Although I admit most of these Bay Area rags have too much of an open-border agenda to include a fact like that.........

This is good news they should stop all illegal aliens and search thier cars. At the very least they can bust them for driving without a license and insurance.

They need to come down harder on the Canal and Marin city areas. I would extend that to any area with low income housing, but they should really just get these people to help the other side. Have this guy work for us, make his delivery and bust the person who is really the criminal.

This guy is probably just transporting things for his rich clients or for a gang or something else. You probably just busted a coke mule of sorts.

I have no sympathy for him, but I could make a guess that the person he was going to deliver it too or got it from is a much bigger fish that needs to be fried.

I believe the issue is "Illegal Immigration". Regardless of who the drugs are for the fact remains that this is the type of criminal behavior that "Illegal Aliens" bring to this country. Although this behavior is widely accepted is many South American countries, most Americans do not embrace this culture.

but that is the thing John, people around here and most of the country are naive. They don't want to accept the fact that the middle and upper class and even these people's children are the major drug users (especially of expensive and high grade drugs). Just another reason the war on drugs can never win, if someone wants it enough they will get it. The poor and illegals are supporting what is being demanded. And it pays much better than working in someones garden or doing construction.

You need to offer this guy a deal where he gives up information and if it leads to a big bust or a take down of a gang or drug organization then he should be rewarded with at least a chance to be a citizen or at least get a real job.

The last time I checked there weren’t a flood of Africans crossing the border between US and Mexico. Have you lost your mind? Reward someone for breaking our Federal Law by coming here illegally and selling Cocaine? That is such an asinine idea but what could one expect from a "Liberal". Those that aren't selling drugs will start selling drugs, only to rat out on someone else in order to gain citizenship. You really didn't think this through. How about we enforce our Immigration Laws, Penalize employers who hire “Illegal Aliens” so there aren’t any jobs. Since we can’t send American citizens to another country for using drugs, let’s get rid of the “Illegal Alien” who is distributing the drugs. They all have a country or origin to be sent.
