Where is San Gabriel? Where is San Juan Pueblo?
Persons not already familiar get no clue as to the location of these places except for "west of the Rio Grande." That's not much help.

The location is just North of the City of Espanola off the Taos highway. San Juan is now known as Ohkay Owengeh. There is still a marker there where the road crosses the river just north of the pueblo towards CHAMITA.

The area should be redug and designated as an Historical land mark. Similiar to where Coronado settled in Bernalillo. It is an important part of New Mexico history.

I agree, Mark T. This is timely, as I've been studying it and went out there last weekend after seeing it on an old map. There is really nothing there now, which seems odd.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
