A 44-year-old man was being treated Monday for a wound that he suffered as he drove on a Mira Mesa street and someone shot him from the passenger side of a luxury sport utility vehicle, police said.

The event, including tours and fire-safety demonstrations, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department station at 10011 Black Mountain Rd.

The victim, 28, was walking through the park on Flanders Drive about 9:50 p.m. when he got into a dispute with another man, police said.
