Lone Samnorwood graduate ready to have classmates
Samnorwood High School senior Daniel Paul Garza was ranked first and last in his senior class when he graduated two weeks ago.
Coach buyout cost district $37,000
Records from the Samnorwood school district show the former head coach parted from the district with a settlement worth close to $37,100. The agreement promised James Rigdon $35,594, equal to the balance of his annual salary, plus $1,500 for moving expenses, according to records obtained by the Amarillo Globe-News through an open records request.
The Samnorwood school board voted Monday night to remove James Rigdon as the school's head football coach.
