I can't believe the magistrates will care what I think, but i will express it anyway, the landfill has been a blight on Logan County soil from day 1... BUT there was money for the county if they allowed trash to be brought in and dumped by a commercial waste hauler. The people living in the area of the dump had no choice in the matter, the odor, flies, buzzards, crows, possums all converged on the landfill and set up house. All the Judge and Magistrate had to do was sit back and let it make money for them.. The landfill is monitored by EPA and state air pollution control, being a big, knowledgeable company, Waste Management didn't break enough laws to be closed down..and you can believe the state didn't want to have them close either..so they worked together.. saved super-fund money for other counties. Why would the magistrate even consider adding additional insult to injury for all of us, especially for those souls living on Coopertown Road..all I can say is that Waste Management has a lot of money and we will see if our elected officials can be bought, again.
