Fire destroys rural home Monday

RFD trains with new 100-foot ladder truck
Pictured is the newest vehicle added to the RFD, a 2009 100-foot ladder truck. It replaces a 75-foot ladder truck that had been in operation locally since 1997 and was powered by a 1971 engine and transmission.
