Hunters still leery of proposed deer plan
The Department of Fish and Wildlife's proposal to increase antlerless deer permits from 500 in 2007 to 3,200 in the coming year has many hunters up in arms.
The following cases were heard in Bennington District Court on Monday: Erica Silber, 25, of Vermont, pleaded not guilty to a charge of burglary, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years imprisonment.
Local hunters were up in arms Tuesday at a public hearing with Fish and Wildlife Department officials over a proposed increase in the number of permits to kill antlerless deer.
