Why wasn't the car left at the police station while the officer was on vacation? Why was the car left parked on the street and left unlocked? Why wasn't the gun locked in the trunk instead of inside the squad car? A responsible gun owner wouldn't have done what this officer did. There should be disiplinary action for such stupidity. Now there is a Glock in a thiefs hand.

I would have to agree that the dept policy should be changed. And the way I read the article is that they did not steal anything else, that to me means the person who took the wepon knew it was in the car. Now there is another weapon out there that could be used to harm some one, I hope it is found before anything happens.

who said the car was unlocked, or maybe the officer was just on 8 hours of vacation, and to lock it in the trunk?? yeah because once your inside the car you can't access the trunk using the trunk release? Maybe the only place to park is on the street, like it would of made a difference anyhow, because we all know thefts don't occur in parking lots?? wow! maybe you should think before you are so quick to react.

I think they should investigate this officer conduct and I think she should be fired what kind of police officer leaves their service weapon in their car when they are on duty 24 hrs a day seven day a week rather they are on vacation or not they are still licensed to uphold the law anywhere in Iowa,And besides that police officers are always prime targets which means they should be carrying their weapons on them all the time. what you will probably find out she has either done this before or was braggging about it too somebody and it was a setup. I just hope they find it before someone is murdered with it and if they are she should be charged as an accessery for her negligence period.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Pisces

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
