Memorial day is on Monday, and many area communities are observing this special day of rememberance with services, programs and events.

Matt Zimmerman of Rothsay will graduate this weekend, but he won't forget the good times and relationships he has made while going to Rothsay Public Schools since kindergarten.

The Department of Natural Resources has decided to stand down from a grass fire that shut down part of Highway 52 near Rothsay, MN and threatened farmsteads and a wildelife management area near there.
