A fire starting in an apartment above a tavern threatened a downtown city block this morning.
Muncie School Closed Due To Flu Absences
Burris Laboratory School in Muncie will be closed for the rest of the week because over 20% of the students are absent with flu-like symptoms.

Rossville Tea Party draws crowd
About 100 people attended the Tea Party, organized by a dozen Clinton and Carroll County residents.
The town of Rossville will be under a boil order starting Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. Clerk Treasurer Pat McIlrath says a construction crew cut a water main at state road 39 and Ramey Street, and the boil order is precautionary.
Firefighters put out garage fire
Firefighters got the call about the blaze around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. Crews from Sheffield Township, Mullberry, Rossville, Wea and Buck Creek arrived and had to act quickly to keep the flames from spreading.
