CARTERSVILLE, Ga. Construction work could soon begin on a state project to resurface various city streets in three counties in Northwest Georgia.

A 47-year-old Chattanooga man has been charged with one of the several North Georgia convenience store "smash & grab" burglaries, according to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson.

Four people robbed a Rossville convenience store, holding several customers at gunpoint, and made off with more than $3,000. The Walker County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help identifying the robbers.
