The Lakota Local School District is considering open enrollment to the children of district employees to combat the district's decrease in enrollment and losses in revenue.

Lakota Local Schools Board of Education will discuss a five-year forecast and an open enrollment proposal that would allow employees living outside the district to enroll their children in the system during its regular meeting on Tuesday.

It's smooshy, bumpy, smooth and rough at the same time, according to the 4- and 5-year-old students attending the Rittman Head Start program at the Milton Presbyterian Church.
