Man evaluated for Ebola at RWJ Rahway actually has malaria, Roselle mayor says

Around 7 p.m. tonight, a man who traveled to Nigeria was transported to the RWJ Rahway emergency department via local EMS with a fever and vomiting, said RWJ spokeswoman Donna Mancuso. Mancuso said the patient was placed on contact and "droplet" precaution per CDC guidelines.

Union County Teen Charged With Attempted Murder For May Shooting

A Roselle Teen has been charged with attempted murder and two weapons charges in connection with a Linden shooting that happened in May of this year. According to the Union County Prosecutor's Office, the name of the suspect will not be released since he was 17-years-old at the time of the crime.

Juvenile complaints for attempted murder and two weapons offenses have been filed against a Roselle teenager in connection with a drive-by shooting that injured a man that took place in Linden earlier this year, according to law enforcement officials. Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park, Linden Police Chief James M. Schulhafer, and Roselle Police Chief Gerard Orlando release a joint announcement stating that the defendant, who is not being identified because he was 17 at the time of the shooting that injured a man , was arrested by Roselle police on Monday.
