Yes, it's the politicians fault.

Voters continually ask for new services or bond initiatives, while simultaneously asking not to pay for them.

You get what you pay for.

Hey Gene, it looks like the only politicians opposed to stealing our gas taxes to pay off those bloated union salaries and pensions are THE REPUBLICANS.

Maybe you and your paper could remember that next time we have an election? You know how you guys usually support Democrats and their higher taxes and bigger giveaways to unions? And now that you see the results in more potholes maybe you guys could throw a few interviews and column inches to the other side?

Hey Tom - Whenever you comment, no matter what story, you turn it around to blame unions and Democrats. What gives? Are you so learning disabled that you can't think of anything else to say?

To One Track -- the problem with California IS unions. The unions force members to pay dues which is then funneled to Democrats in the legislature. Those Democrats then repay the unions by passing outrageous benefits and salaries plus laws that make in impossible to do business here.

The person with the learning disability is the guy who can't figure this out. As long as unions/Democrats maintain this stranglehold on our economy, California is s c r e w e d.

There's a certain amount of friction between you and your partner today. This could be really exciting and dynamic, spurring you into fresh adventures together, or it might lead to spats that seem to get more petty as the day wears on. So resist the temptation to get drawn into silly squabbles and instead express today's energy in more positive ways.
