The Muldrow splash pad, Roland and Sallisaw swimming pools will open Saturday. The splash pad hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week and is free to the public.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation recently opened the first of eight planned state-of-the-art weigh stations.

Sallisaw Mayor Shannon Vann recently proclaimed the first week of May to be Oklahoma Home and Community Education Week in Sallisaw.
