On the weekend of Jan. 4-6, 13 Cub Scouts from Pack 11 of Coventry embarked on their first camping trip with nearly 30 Troop 11 Boy Scouts to learn critical navigation skills and become acclimated with upper level scouting.

While "Moonrise Kingdom," Wes Anderson's whimsical feature about young romantics in a small island community, didn't make the cut for best picture at last week's Oscar nominations , it did receive a nod for its screenplay and was recognized by the Producers Guild of America , while also making several critics' top 10 lists .
