Yield sign coming to improve Rockville traffic safety

Montgomery County Department of Transportation officials listened to a reader's suggestion for a traffic safety sign: "In Rockville, at the intersection of East Jefferson Street and Montrose Parkway, cars driving east on Montrose Parkway that bear right on East Jefferson have their own lane but need a yield sign.

Complete waste of money. No one pays attention to traffic signs.

Are they also removing the solid line there that forbids (by intent of law) crossing into the curb lane by through traffic?
