Four arrested in Aragon Grocery cash theft
Four people have been arrested for a Dec. 27 cash theft at Aragon Grocery on Rome Highway, according to police.
Crystal Lasha Baker, 23, and Herschel Oneil Payne, 31, of 718 White River Road, Rockmart, were arrested Jan. 26. Baker was a clerk at the store. Payne is Bakers husband.
Additionally, Bakers mother, Sheila Perkins, and Perkins boyfriend, Walter Watkins, are also charged in the crime, according to Sgt. Charles Goss of the Aragon Police Department.
Man shot by his wife transferred, recovering
The victim of a Jan. 25 shooting at the Saddlebrook Apartments Weekly Rentals in Rockmart has been transferred from ICU to a regular hospital room, according to a Polk County Police Department officer assigned to the case.

A Rockmart woman is in jail on charges of allegedly shooting her husband Monday night.
Brenda Lee Craig, 35, of 1050 Elm St., Apt. 2, Rockmart, is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA).
