The 2000 Census made a perfunctory attempt at counting GLBT people by counting same sex households with children under the age of 18. The numbers were huge. The 2010 census won't even do that. The U.S. still tries to pretend we don't exist. If we're never officially counted then anyone can make up any bogus number and continue to discount us absolutely. I supose we should just get louder. Sigh.
