A $500,000 grant for emergency funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development will help the city of Robert Lee pay for a 12-mile pipeline to water sources near Bronte.

Officials, engineers, volunteers and others gathered beside a dirt road here Friday to celebrate a 10-inch, light blue plastic pipe.
