Off-duty Riviera officer hurt in confrontation

Residents of a quiet suburban community here were awakened to the sound of gunfire early this morning when an off-duty Riviera Beach police officer was injured at his home in a confrontation with two men in ski masks, Palm Beach Gardens police said.
