Firefighters work at the scene of a house fire in the 300 block of Main Street in Rives Junction about 1 a.m. on Monday morning.

An overnight fire displaced a Rives Junction family, according to the Citizen Patriot's news partner, WLNS-TV . The first started just after 1 a.m. at a house in the 300 block of Main Street in Rives Junction.

Navy Seaman Dalton B. Smaga recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

The cause of the Thursday morning fire at a Rives Junction home that displaced a father and his three young children is still unknown, Interim Fire Chief Larry Case said this afternoon.

A family of four whose home was destroyed by fire early this morning is staying at a local motel, said Interim Rives-Tompkins Fire Chief Larry Case.

The fire started around 4 a.m. in the attic of a home at 223 Main Street. A man and his three young children were out of the home when firefighters arrived, Ellis said.
