I've been walking along a nearly dry river lately, and I've had lots of company, including dogs with cold noses and cyclists who startled me because I didn't hear them approaching on the smooth new pavement.

Walking in beauty: Fall trails near Santa Fe, NM
The Navajo say, May you walk in Beauty . I was able to do that this morning and discovered some amazing and diverse plant life along the Rio en Medio Trail just north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
